Pools at Grand Mayan Riviera Maya

After reading another thread about cold pools at GM Los Cabos, I am wondering what to expect from the pools at GM Riviera Maya. We have an exchange for the last week of March.

From the pictures, the pools look enormous -- so I doubt they are heated. But wondering if they warm up enough in the Spring, so that it is not a problem. I thought I read somewhere that there is at least one heated pool somewhere on the Grand Mayan side possibly.

Also wondering what to expect as far as water temps in the ocean at that time of year.

Pools arent heated cuz their shallow!
by: Anonymous

pools aren't heated, to my knowledge, at the GM because they are only about 4 ft deep. The sun is so strong and the pool is so shallow that the heat stays in until the morning after. So the pool water, in effect, is warmer than the ocean. Also, with shallow pools, you don't need lifeguards... i think its part of the rules of having a pool or sumthin.
