Playa del Carmen Real Estate market

Playa del Carmen Real Estate

Playa del Carmen Real Estate

Today Playa del Carmen, or just "Playa" as it is colloquially referred to, is the center of the Riviera Maya concept, which runs from south of Cancún to the Sian Ka'an biosphere reserve.

Publish Date: 2010-02-24

Playa del Carmen real estate has for many years been a favorite with International expats and tourists. A recent study showed that about 40% of the Riviera Maya real estate sold is being lapped up by foreigners. Of these, American and Canadian citizens constitute the major group of foreign real estate investors in Mexico. Over the last couple of years, due to many global economic factors, Mexico real estate is been seen as a favorable property investment destination worldwide.
Savvy investors have taken advantage of low prices of properties and are now reaping the profits.
Playa is a stop for several cruise ships. Tourist activity in Playa del Carmen centers on Quinta Avenida, or Fifth Avenue, stretching from calle 1 norte until calle 34, a pedestrian walkway located just one block inland from the beach which is lined with boutique hotels, shops, bars, and restaurants. A field of dreams to build sand castles of soft, white sand hosting treasures offered up by the sea. The beautiful, multi-colored fish gently brush by, engaging in a playful game of underwater tag. On land, is the likelihood of encounters with the temples and legends that have survived the ravages of time and the chance to explore the subterranean rivers flowing swiftly from pool to pool of fresh water or of engaging in an adventurous exploration of the lush jungle; all unforgettable experiences that issue a siren call to return.
