Playa del Carmen Real Estate – Lifestyle with a European Flavor

Playa del Carmen Real Estate

Playa del Carmen Real Estate

As the 2010 International Tourism Fair shows a particularly strong European interest in the Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen Real Estate will continue to offer the best of condos and other properties.

While the key attraction of Playa del Carmen Real Estate is the excellent choices in Playa del Carmen Condos, it is not only luxury that Playa del Carmen and the surrounding area – known as the Riviera Maya – offers, but international luxury. As 2010 begins, the International Tourism Fair in Spain indicates that the Playa del Carmen area continues to be the top choice for Spain and other countries in terms of visitors; this, in turn, suggests that the variety of Playa del Carmen Property buyers will continue to include many North Americans, blended with the Europeans that give Playa del Carmen its unique atmosphere.

At the International Tourism Fair in Madrid, Spain during January 2010, Spanish tourist and companies showed a particularly strong interest in the attractions of the Playa del Carmen area, confirming this area as one of the favorites in the world for that country. The Riviera Maya display was constantly crowded with Spaniards wishing to obtain information about Playa del Carmen. The fair saw participation from 11 thousand companies from about 170 countries or regions.

The fair's focus is tourism, but the strong international interest in Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya for tourism in 2010 is also reflected in the community of condo and other property owners. The majority of international residents in Puerto Aventuras and other nearby communities are Americans and Canadians, and this group is followed closely by the large Italian population, as well as nationalities such as Spaniards, which have given the area its unique European flavor. Groups such as Argentinians have also contributed to the area's culture and luxury lifestyle.

"The European feel to the area," observes Thomas Lloyd, president of TOPMexicoRealEstate, "has been one of the factors that makes buyers choose Playa del Carmen over other good beachfront real estate choices."

This European/international atmosphere has attracted many property buyers who wish to enjoy not only a beachfront lifestyle, but also wish to enjoy luxury with an international element to it. During 2010, and the following years, this atmosphere is expected to continue to develop.
