Purdue will play Montana and Florida Gulf Coast.
Sept. 10, 2010
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue will travel to the Mayan Riviera in November to participate in the two-game Caribbean Challenge at the Aventura Spa Palace near Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
The Boilermakers will play Montana on Nov. 25 and Florida Gulf Coast on Nov. 26, with game times still to be determined. James Madison, Iowa and Virginia Tech also are competing in the same bracket as Purdue, but the Boilermakers play just the two games.
Hartford, Penn State, Utah and Wisconsin-Green Bay will compete in a separate three-game tournament at the same site.
The John Purdue Club has travel packages available for the Caribbean Challenge and those interested should contact the JPC office at (800) 213-2239 before Sept. 15.
Season tickets are still available for Purdue's home slate of games. Tickets are available online at purduesports.com, by calling (800) 49-SPORT or in person at the Purdue Athletics Ticket Office. The first-and second-round games of the Preseason WNIT in Mackey Arena are included on each season ticket. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for the semifinals and final should Purdue also play host to those games. Purchases will be refunded if the Boilermakers do not host the semifinal and final rounds.
Tickets for the Boilermaker BlockBuster, Dec. 18 at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis - the Purdue men will take on Indiana State and the women will face Auburn - are available for $40 in the lower level, $30 in the club level, $25 in the upper level and $10 for Purdue students.
Tickets for the Big Ten Tournaments are also available through the Purdue Athletic Ticket Office. The women's tournament runs from March 3 to 6 at Conseco, with all-session passes selling for $45.
